Does Facebook have a double Standard?

I don't have a lot of time to write this right now so just consider it a short rant but Gamers Unite and other game sites are allowed to access  key Facebook product users info and to market their services while blatantly violating the rules for allowing users to find friends with common interests and adding them. This rule is frustrating for the average user with no friends on fb.
